Not every improvement happens at the counter. This round is for the people who keep the catalog, the purchase orders and the books in order, with a few fixes that save real time every week.
Re-categorize products in bulk
A new, optional Re-categorize screen lets managers change product categories in bulk without exporting and re-importing a spreadsheet. Filter by keyword or SKU, current category, manufacturer or stock status, then add, move or remove categories for the products you select or for everything that matches. It only touches categories, never prices or stock, and every run records who changed what so it can be undone.
Repair order lines whose product disappeared
Distributor feeds sometimes delete a product and create it again under a new ID while a customer order still points at the old one. That order would then vanish from receiving and allocation screens. The new Dead Product Lines tool under Purchase Orders finds those lines and proposes the live product with the same UPC or distributor number. Staff review each proposal before anything changes.
Dropship sales show their real cost
Dropship orders placed with a distributor now carry their actual product cost into the order’s cost and profit box. Before, a dropship sale showed no product cost at all, so it looked like pure margin in your numbers.
Purchase orders you can trust
- No early “ready for pickup”. A purchase order can no longer mark a customer’s order ready until every line on it has actually arrived or is otherwise accounted for.
- Clear oversold warnings. Receiving onto a product that’s oversold now stops with a plain explanation, plus a manager-only option to reset its stock, instead of a server error.
- No barrel length for frames and receivers. Receiving a frame, receiver, lower or destructive device no longer asks for a barrel length, at the register or on a purchase order.
Smaller fixes worth knowing
- Quiet counter sales. Customers who buy at the counter no longer get WooCommerce’s automatic “processing” and “complete” emails, or a pay-online link for a sale they already paid for.
- NFA transfer fees. Local pickup fees can include a separate NFA transfer fee for the categories you choose.
- Contract pricing below MAP. Customers on cost-plus contract pricing can buy at their price even when it’s below MAP, while everyone else still sees your normal MAP treatment.
- Label printing. The print queue survives a page reload, and you can find a gun’s label by its serial number.
- MAP request form. The form can now match a light or dark store theme.
