Present The Right Price For The Customer And Channel

Manufacturer pricing rules can turn a simple price change into a round of manual checks. Manage the prices shown to shoppers and members from configured rules, with clear controls for the storefront and supported search data.

Overview

Keep Manufacturer Rules In The Pricing Conversation

Minimum Advertised Pricing is part of the day-to-day work of selling branded firearms. A store may need to show one price publicly, another to members, and a different in-store price while keeping the catalog understandable for staff and customers.

MFS Exchange lets you configure price presentation by manufacturer, product, customer group, and surface. The result is a documented pricing workflow your team can apply and review during onboarding.

Methods

Configured Controls Across Key Surfaces

Different manufacturers call for different customer experiences. We review the rules you need to follow, choose the relevant controls, and document which storefront and schema surfaces are covered.

  • Multiple enforcement methods available — we pick the right one per manufacturer.
  • Methods scale from "completely hide the price until cart" to "show the price only to logged-in members at a specific tier."
  • WooCommerce and Rank Math schema/display controls can be configured for the surfaces in scope. Price-comparison feeds follow the same rules: the Gun.deals feed can hide below-MAP prices.
  • Manufacturer-specific overrides mean you can have one method for Glock products, another for SIG, another for Smith & Wesson — all at the same time.
  • MAP holidays — set a date window per manufacturer for a sale event, either lifting MAP entirely or allowing a set percentage below it.
Clear scope protects the rule. During onboarding we record the manufacturer guidance, the selected storefront controls, and any surfaces that still need a separate feed or content review.
Member & Price-Field Layers

Use Member And In-Store Price Paths

  • Member-only pricing — configured plan holders can see the member price after logging in, while other visitors see the public price selected for the product.
  • Separate in-store vs. online price fields per product — your counter can use its configured price while the online catalog follows the selected public presentation.
  • Tiered membership system with automatic discounts by tier for the categories you choose.
  • Contract pricing — customers on cost-plus contract pricing can buy at their price even when it’s below MAP, while everyone else sees your normal MAP treatment.
  • Staff see real prices — MAP masking applies to shoppers, while staff adding a product to an order and connected inventory tools use the stored price.
  • Make-An-Offer on GunBroker with configurable thresholds can support a marketplace offer strategy when it fits the manufacturer's terms. (See GunBroker Sync for details.)
Customer-Facing Details

Customer-Facing Pricing Details

  • FREE SHIPPING badges on eligible products — surfaced on product listings, search results, and cart pages where applicable.
  • Custom distributor fees applied automatically by product source so total cost reflects reality at checkout.
  • Local background check fee automatically added for in-store and local pickup orders requiring a 4473, with separate firearm, ammunition and NFA transfer tiers and an optional exemption for your own stock.
  • Price request form right under the price on MAP-restricted items, with light or dark styling to match your theme, and the rule’s label shown on category cards.
