Take Inventory To Gun Shows Without Losing Track Of It

Plan the show, keep every gun off sale while it’s away, sell at the table, handle out-of-state transfers through your bound book, and settle up with the host.

Overview

From Planning To The Last Dollar

Shows are some of the best selling days a shop has and some of the hardest on its records. Gun show support follows a show from the day you plan it to the day the last dollar is settled, and keeps your inventory, your bound book and your books in agreement the whole way.

Planning

Plan The Show

  • Show plans with dates, venue, host, and whether you’re selling in-state yourself or sending guns to a host FFL across state lines.
  • Frozen details: each serial’s details and cost are saved as they were when you picked the guns.
  • A printable manifest, or PDF, for packing and for the table.
  • Nothing held yet: saving a plan doesn’t hold inventory or touch your bound book.
Holds

Guns At The Show Can’t Be Sold Twice

  • A show hold on every staged gun blocks it at the register, on your website, on layaway and on marketplaces until it’s back or sold at the show.
  • Holds that coexist, so ending a show hold never releases another hold on the same gun.
  • Paid online orders for a staged gun are held for a manager to review and listed with what to do next.
  • GunBroker auctions: a gun live in an auction can’t be staged, and a staged gun counts as out of stock to GunBroker.
In-State Shows

Sell At The Table

  • An enrolled show register sells that show’s guns, and only those, during the show’s dates.
  • Sales tied to the manifest once payment goes through, so you know exactly what sold at the show.
  • A manager override to sell a gun that came back early at the store, for 30 minutes, with a reason on the order.
  • A scan back in when the show ends, with a missing-items list for a manager to resolve.
Out-Of-State Shows

Transfers Through Your Bound Book

  • Pending transfers to the host FFL in FastBound or Orchid, or paper entries. MFS never commits a transfer on its own.
  • A printable transfer sheet marking each serial cleared to go or “do not transfer”, with the reason.
  • Stock out only when the book agrees, with a worklist that flags late transfers.
  • Returns the same way: scan guns back in and file the return acquisition. Host sales are recorded from the host’s statement.
Settlement

Settle Up With The Host

  • Host statements, payments and adjustments, including partial payments and write-offs for small differences.
  • A financial overview of owed, received and outstanding per show, with CSV export.
  • QuickBooks posting on the right dates, with write-offs as bad debt or overpayment income.
  • Closing only when everything is accounted for: every gun back, sold or resolved, and every dollar settled. Late paperwork reopens the show.

Included With MFS Exchange · Opt-In

Gun show support is an opt-in setting, so nothing changes for a shop until it’s switched on. We’ll turn it on with you and help set up your first show. See the gun shows announcement for the full walkthrough.
